Difficult qualifying for Bendsneyder

Bo Bendsneyder showed an excellent performance by securing a direct passage to Q2 during the second morning practice. At the start of qualifying, the Dutch rider took to the track with determination and pushed the session to the limit, finishing just nine tenths of a second off the first qualifier. For tomorrow’s race, Bendsneyder will start from eighteenth position, focusing on tyre management to take the step forward that had been missing at the beginning of the day.

#64 Bo Bendsneyder (P18)

“It was a difficult qualifying. In the morning we did quite well and we were able to finish 14th but during qualifying we couldn’t make the step forward. We rode similar times to the morning, but it wasn’t enough to be at the front, but we know where we can improve for tomorrow. It will be a long race so I need to be more smart than in Qatar with the tyres. We are looking forward to tomorrow’s race.”
