22nd for Bo in tough race in Austin

Navarro takes the holeshot at the start, followed by Fenati and Oettl, the polesitter. Bo gets off the line well, but chooses to go for the inside in corner one, he loses some spots accelerating out of it. At the end of lap one he is in 27th. Going in to lap two Norrodin is T-boned by Ono. Norrodin goes down, Ono can get back in to the race. He is penalised with a ridethrough for dangerous riding. Navarro is opening a gap to second place man Fenati; his lead is allready 1.6 seconds. Standings after lap three: Navarro is leading, Fenati second in front of Oettl, Brad Binder, Quartararo, Kornfeil, Locatelli, Loi and Guevarra. Bo is in 25th. In lap five Mir and Darryn Binder crash out of the race. Fenati is stepping up the pace and slowly reeling in Navarro. In lap eight Fenati is only half a second down, when Navarro runs wide in the first corner. Fenati takes over the lead in the race. Bo gained another spot and is in 24th. With ten laps to go Quartararo and Binder have closed the gap to Oettl, Quartararo immediately takes over third place. Binder seems to have some trouble keeping up the pace and loses some ground on Oettl. Bo is in 23rd, and when Hanika crashes in front of him he goes to 22nd. The gap to the rider in front of him, Pawi, the winner in Argentina, is over five seconds. With three laps to go Bo has closed the gap to 2.3 seconds. Quartararo has a technical issue with his bike and drops back behind Oettl and Binder. Bo has closed the gap to Pawi to 1.1 seconds, with two laps to go. Antonelli crashes out in seventh spot, coming from 30th on the grid (!) Binder is trying everything he can to try to get the last step on the podium. In the last lap he passes Oettl on the backstraight, coming out of the slipstream. Fenati wins his first GP this year, Navarro is second, Binder third. Bo finishes in 22nd, one tenth behind McPhee ( who passed him in the last lap), three tenth behind Pawi. A tough race for Bo. Looking at laptimes, he was never able to get in to a rythm. With laptimes into the 2.19 en 2.20’s he was never even near times in FP3 (2.17,117) Those times were set by the complete top 15. Fastest racelap was a 2.16,842 by Fenati.
