Bo fractures arm at Albacete

After a nearly flawless practice and qualifying Bo was fifteenth on the grid and feeling confident, eager to get a good result in his seventh race in the Spanish Open. In the warmup he was only three tenth of a second behind first place, there was nothing to stop him for getting a good result. An unfortunate maneuver on his bike resulted in fracturing his arm. His race was over after two laps. “I was shifting my body on the bike to go into the fourth corner, when the back started to slide. I tried to hold on to the bike firmly to prevent falling off. The back got grip again and I  was thrown forward, hitting the screen with my helmet. It all went so fast and I landed upright on the bike again. After a few corners I felt the pain in my arm getting worse. When I tried to hold on to the bike I put so much pressure on my arm it fractured.” Bo got back to the pit and was taken to a hospital near Albacete, where the doctors found a fracture in his arm just above the wrist. They put a cast on it. It is not clear yet how serious the fracture is and if surgery is necessary. Racing at the Sachsenring next week is uncertain yet.
