It could have been more

Bo Bendsneyder took a hard fought eleventh at the Aragon circuit. For a short while he was in a group fighting for third. Bo looks back at the race with some mixed feelings. “We have shown this weekend we can right there with the top riders. Off course I’m happy with eleventh, but with a little luck we could have been further up.” After a good start Bo is fifteenth after lap one. Fabio Quartararo and Jorge Navarro are in the lead, followed by a group of seven. Bo is behind that group with three more riders. They manage to make it to the group in front half way of the race. The group is then battling for third place. Bo is right in the middle of the battle, but in lap twelve he hits an opponent and has to go wide. He loses some spots and joins a group follwing. At that point he is in eighteenth. With three laps to go Bo puts in a final effort to make up some places, and passes five riders in front of him. He finishes eleventh in the race. “I hit a rider on his backwheel while he tried to outbrake me and I was Lucky to stay on the bike. I was forced of the track and that was the end of the fight for third I was in. After that I could up my pace though and I was able to pass some riders in front of me again. I had the third quickest laptime in the race at that point. Eleventh was the max today. I think we can be satisfied with that, regarding the machinery some of those guys are racing. Most happy I am with knowing I can be up there figting for the podium. I am really confident going to Barcelona in two weeks time.” During qualifying there were some little setup issues, but after some changes had been made, Bo was more confident and was quick right away, resulting in an eleventh spot on the grid.
